Grupo Massa is a world music band based in Austin Tx. With members from Brazil, Germany and Texas, the band fuses their rich musical backgrounds into a vibrant, funky and innovative world music. The unique instrumentation of accordion, vocals, percussion, bass and drums plus a fearless approach creates a musical freedom. Grupo Massa was recognized at the 2019 Austin Music Award as Best World Music Band.

Bruno is from Olinda, Brazil. He toured the world with his band Quartetto Olinda and has gained a reputation as a percussion wizard playing with Renata Rosa and others.

JAN FLEMMING

Jan was born and raised in Cologne, Germany. He is a two time Austin Music Award winning accordionist. Jan is known for his contemporary style of playing that fuses different genres effortlessly.
DANIEL DURHAM

Daniel an Austin native, has been forging his reputation as a sublime bass player since his early teens. Being one of Austin's most sought after musicians he has worked with Alejandro Escovedo and many more.

Michael grew up in McAllen Tx. For many years he toured the world with Patty Griffin and Bob Schneider. Never afraid to fuse drumming styles and set ups he brings an unforeseen freshness to the sound of Grupo Massa.
